Dear Friends and Wonderful Customers,
This is shop owner Amy here with a personal message and big news to share. As some of you know, my husband, Chad, is in the Navy. The Navy brought us to the Tampa Bay area six years ago, and I found myself opening a little storefront on the 600 Block to sell my jewelry. Since then, we’ve grown into a bigger store (twice!), and my husband has relocated to Georgia for his job, only able to come home on the weekends. We had plans to keep one foot in St. Pete until Chad retires from the Navy because we love this city, and I love my shop! A few weeks ago, we were informed that our next military move would big a big one… we are headed to Europe in a few months! This means that we will be closing our brick and mortar storefront, but I will continue to offer my jewelry through the shop’s website. I would love to share photos and stories of our European travels, and I hope you will all continue to follow Strands of Sunshine on social media and stay in touch! We do hope to return to this community in the future. The shop’s last day will be Saturday, February 3rd, and then we’ll soon be off on a new adventure! From the bottom of my heart, thanks for all the support you’ve given us these past 5 years. Thank you a million times over. And remember, all of our makers are local! You’ll still be able to find their great work around town and find my jewelry online! The storefront will be fully stocked and celebrating all throughout January, so please come see us a few more times before we go!

Learn a technique traditionally used to create high-end pearl necklaces, where the beads are strung onto a cord with a knot tied in between each bead. This protects the beads from rubbing and scratching each other. It also means that if the strand should break, only one bead will fall off and the rest of the necklace will stay in tact. Strands of Sunshine’s owner, Amy Marshall, has over 10 years of jewelry making experience, and is particularly in love with this technique and applying it to modern jewelry design. Amy will guide students through the steps of creating their own necklace or bracelet. An assortment of beads will be available to choose from, along with silk cord in a variety of colors. It’s not necessary to bring anything, but if you do have some special beads you’d like to bring for consideration, feel free to do so.

All supplies and tools will be provided. Seating is limited and classes are intimate so that students get plenty of personal assistance! Feel free to bring a snack or beverage. Class will take place from 6:30pm-8:30 pm. Ages 18+ only unless expressly approved by instructor.
Cancellation Policy:
Five days’ notice is required in order to receive in-store credit or to reschedule your class.
If canceling less than five days prior to class, a refund may be given if we can fill your spot from the waiting list. A class may be canceled due to lack of sign-ups. If your class is canceled, we will notify you two days prior to the scheduled class.

Bon Voyage! We’re moving to Europe!
