Learn the basics of needle felting through this fun instructive workshop. Maggie Jensen of Floating Woods Fiber Arts will be demonstrating how to make a decorative string of toadstool mushrooms. This plush, friendly garland can be used to add a cozy touch to your mantle, brighten up your office, hang on your porch, doorframe, your car ,or your Christmas-in-July Tree.
All materials will be provided and students will take home their own handmade work. Kits will be available for purchase if students wish to make the project again at home.
A word of caution. Needle felting uses VERY SHARP needles. There is a possibility of poking yourself. Concentration and sharp eyesight are a must. If you wear glasses to read you will need to wear them for this workshop.
This workshop is not suitable for young children. Creative teens 13-17 are encouraged to join accompanied by an adult.
Seating is limited and classes are intimate so that students get plenty of personal assistance! Feel free to bring a snack or beverage. If you plan on consuming adult beverages, you’ll still want to stay sharper than the needles! Class will take place from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm.
